Hi! My name is Alex. I’m a pathological button-clicker and useless-information uncoverer.
I grew up on a (very) remote Scottish island, as far north as you can get in the British Isles. From this I developed a deep appreciation of rugged beauty and a strong dislike of being outdoors in force 9 gales.
My first camera was a Kodak Instamatic which took square pictures and cost my parents a fortune in 24-exposure 126 film cartridges.
At 19, I accidentally got a job in TV news, where I worked for nearly a decade.
I once saw a ghost whilst filming in a medieval ruin in Oxfordshire (for realsies... well, possibly not).
I projected a 30ft high naked bottom onto the side of a house in a middle-class suburban neighbourhood. For “art”.
I directed a feature-length documentary which had a red-carpet premiere at Odeon West End in London’s Leicester Square.
I’m a nice guy and occasionally hilarious (just ask my dog)! I go out of my way to explore creative ideas and encourage others.
And finally, Alex will never understand why so many people write their own bios in the third person.
